01/05/2020 - Over 4000 people helped in Chiang Mai!

Yesterday marked the last day of our 19-day run in Chiang Mai Old City giving away food and drinking water to people who have been affected by Covid-19. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard and helped us to provide over 4000 bags of food to those who need it. What an achievement!

30/04/2020 - Covid Closure Extended

Unfortunately due to the continuing situation of COVID-19, we will regretfully remain closed until 30th June 2020. The closure affects both of our Chiang Mai facilities as well as our Phuket branch.

Our Keepers are still on-site and are working hard every day to ensure that our big cats are well looked after and will be healthier than ever when our visitors are able to return!

สวัสดีปีใหม่ไทย "สงกรานต์ 2563" ขอให้ทุกกคนปลอดภัย ห่างไกลโควิด-19 บุญรักษา

Happy Songkran (Thai New Year) to you all from everyone at Tiger Kingdom! It certainly doesn't feel like Songkran this year. Usually, at this time the cities are packed, but this year there is no one to water fight with. At least our Big Cats still get to play in their pools!

12/04/2020 - Chiang Mai is Choking!

Heavy air pollution from forest fires is another serious problem that we are facing here in Chiang Mai. So to try and help those that are putting themselves at risk to try and help us, we have been out and provided food, water and t-shirts to the Doi Suthep-Pui Fire Unit and Kang Vela Restaurant who will distribute the supplies to the brave firefighters. Click the photo to watch our video!

What a proud achievement! Do all you can to help others at this time of need.

06/04/2020 - Enclosure Improvements In Phuket!

In a change from all of the negative news that is filling your screens, here's something positive! The extra time afforded to our staff during the Covid-19 closure is allowing enclosure improvements to take place, we are removing concrete and adding more green spaces to give out big cats some additional comfort with natural substrate!

04/04/2020 - Fighting Covid-19 with Face Shields!

With the extra time that we have without our lovely visitors, Tiger Kingdom Chiang Mai and Tiger Kingdom Phuket have been making face shields to donate to hospitals and temples. The first to receive some face shields are Uttaradit and Mae Sot Hospitals and Santi Wanaram Temple in Chanthaburi, and we hope to provide more items to others soon. We have to work together to get through this pandemic!

Stay at home and stay safe everyone!

28/03/2020 - Fighting Together in Phuket!

These are hard times for everyone and with our restaurant out of action, our Food and Beverage team have put themselves to good use by providing meal boxes during the construction of the Official Phuket Field Hospital, which will be used for Covid-19 patients. We are so grateful for the doctors and nurses who will be stationed there.

And to try and ease a little bit of the strain on our friends at the Patong Taxi Association, Tiger Kingdom Phuket has donated food and drinking water to the families who are in need of assistance. We have to keep fighting this virus together and it too shall pass! Stay safe everyone!

20/03/2020 - New Enclosures Progressing in Mae Taeng!

Some good news in all the bad that is happening right now is that the construction of our new enclosures at the Tiger Kingdom Learning Centre in Mae Taeng is continuing and is nearing completion. We can't wait to see the tigers make use of the space and those big pools when they are finished!

01/10/2019 - Tiger Kingdom Chiang Mai Roaring Forward!

We have a new look, a new logo, and a renewed sense of purpose. We are making big steps in developing the welfare and standard of living for our Big Cats. Part of that development is building larger and more natural enclosures for our mature tigers that are housed at the Tiger Kingdom Learning Center in Mae Taeng. Building is already underway, and we can't wait to show you the new homes once they are finished!

15/04/2019 - Tiger Kingdom gets wet for Songkran!

Happy Songkran 2019 from all of us at Tiger Kingdom!

Songkran is the Thai New Year's festival and is a celebration rich with symbolic traditions which mark the arrival of spring. We spend the festival visiting temples, offering food to Buddhist monks, and pouring water on Buddha statues and on the hands of elders to ask for their blessings (as well as having massive water fights!). We return home to our families and pay reverence to our ancestors. We wear colourful clothing or Thai dress during the festival, clean our houses, work as little as possible, and have a lot of fun!.

26/02/2019 - Tiger Kingdom Supporting Tiger Conservation.

As our 10 year anniversary year draws to a close we are proud to announce our support of the Plant a Tree Today Foundation (Ratchaburi Project) and of a new project, the Conservation Community. The events held over the past year have raised a massive 220,426 Baht which is being shared between the two projects. Thank you for the support from our visitors and those who have taken part in our events!

From all of us at Tiger Kingdom, we would like to wish all of our visitors and followers who have supported us over the last year and very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

09/11/2018 - Target Training Tigers!

At the Tiger Kingdom Learning Center in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, we are target training our cats using positive reinforcement; the tigers are taught to lie down in front of the target to get a tasty treat! The main reason to target train our animals is so that we will be able to administer injections and collect blood from the animal without using anaesthetic, the stick in the video is mimicking an injection and the tiger is being taught to ignore it. Not only will the training improve the veterinary care of the animals but it has other benefits too, like helping to build a relationship between animal and keeper, and providing mental stimulation to stop the tigers from getting bored! Tigers are amazing! Click here to watch the video!

07/11/2018 - Join Tiger Kingdom Chiang Mai for Loy Krathong Festival!

Join us from the 21st to 23rd November 2018 for Loy Krathong Festival and we will teach you how to make your own Krathong to float on our pond or to take away! Be part of our special culture!
