Our dream is to extend what we already have at Mae Taeng into a world class tiger conservation and education park. We are hoping to build larger, natural style enclosures and we will be focusing on experiences which offer something more than the standard animal attraction.
Our newly opened "Tiger Kingdom Learning Center" is a 160,000 square meter plot of land in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai (separate from our location in Mae Rim, where our animal encounters take place), where our tigers live once they have reached maturity. Here, our focus is on education, research, and conservation, not tiger selfies.
As a Keeper For A Day, you will be given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to our mature tigers.
You are invited to roll up your sleeves and learn first-hand how our tigers are cared for; from cleaning the cages and day-to-day tiger health care, to feeding the tigers and participating in their enrichment program.
You will become a member of our team for a whole day and will work with us to spread the message of conservation in Thailand.
TIGER KINGDOM LEARNING CENTER is situated in Mae Taeng, about 20km from our Mae Rim branch (where our animal encounters take place) and about 40km from the Old City. We will pick you up at around 07:30 from your hotel for an 08:45 start.
DISCOVER what we have in store for you. Upon arrival we will prepare you for the day; you will have a chance to change into your Tiger Keeper uniform, grab a drink, and get acquainted with your guide.
SAFETY is of great importance when working with wild animals. We will guide you through every activity of the day to guarantee you have a safe and exciting experience.
GET INVOLVED with our animal husbandry practices and enclosure hygiene. It is up to you to make sure the Tiger Territories are spotless!
ENJOY your experience! We provide a free photographer service so that you can concentrate on enjoying the day instead of worrying about getting your own photos.
CREATE enrichment toys for our tigers as you learn about how we keep our animals stimulated and stress free!
COLLECT stamps upon completion of each activity in your free informational Tiger Kingdom souvenir passport!
LEARN about our animal's feeding habits and show off your culinary skills when preparing the tiger's dinner and their frozen treats in the Nutrition Zone!
SAVOR a delicious lunch served to you at our Eco Hut. You can expect a sumptuous Thai dish suitable for all palates, followed by some juicy seasonal Thai fruit!
WITNESS our animals demonstrate their instinctive hunting behavior. Will they stalk their prey? Will they pounce and kill your creations? There's only one way to find out! The afternoon is time to put your tiger toys to the test!
CONSERVATION is at the heart of what we are trying to achieve at the Tiger Kingdom Learning Center. Take a trip to our Eco Farm & Organic Garden to learn about habitat conservation and self-sustainability in Thailand.
PREPARE to be awed as you feel the raw power of the tiger as they get protective of their meal at feeding time!
REFLECT on the experience with your guide at the end of the day before we start heading back to Chiang Mai at around 16:30.
REMEMBER your day with our free photography service; your photos will be available online to download the day after your experience.
